Let’s get spicy: Talent is not distributed evenly. How many Asians (Oriental/Brown) do you see in the NBA? Practically none. Genetically less capable on average. Why would we believe this is untrue for other aspects of talent (intelligence, creativity, social, etc.)?

Imo the mistake is not that intellectual capacities *could* have racial patterns, but moreso that actually discerning them is beyond the natural human capacity. That’s bc the mind is so much more complex than the body. The character of a mind is like a song — just a few notes being different can radically change the whole composition’s tone and reality. The body feels much more mechanical and straightforward in comparison. And since we can’t discern the structure and patterns of minds reliably, it’s better to proceed as if such patterns don’t exist, since the prejudices we produce would merely be arbitrary or harmful.

I think this example is flawed as a measure of talent distribution by picking this particular sport. (NBA biases for body height.) Olympic gold medal distribution might be a better measure, and I bet it shows far less racial correlation.
