I grew up as a Muslim during the post 9/11 era, I was racially and physically abused through my childhood because of this. I worry that all of our strong, hateful rhetoric will do that for kids who have nothing to do with any of this. And I mean this for both sides.

I can only hope that the children figure out a way to do better. The olds have blown it. I say that as one. I hope it can improve and we can break the cycle of hate and insanity. Thank you for sharing this.

Def not. If anything the abuse of adults was much for visible. Didn’t mean to suggest it was just children. Was saying that the children of today may be the only ones who can help break the cycle.
