Does diversity matter for network states? Intuitively to me it does, since living with only men doesn’t sound like it would work well. I feel like ignoring this is a deficiency of the framework, what do you think? Cc @balajis.eth

Rome started with all men. They “acquired” women quite violently. Real answer: Free markets are great, because we will find out! Gender absolutely matters for reproduction, though you could get citizenship upon marriage through spouse.

Beyond just gender though. You will need diversity of thought and background to compete on values. Because all of it will come down to your ability to unite a very large group of people under a “flag” and mostly values.

Most famous conquerors did this. Genghis Khan was “accepting” of you pledged your allegiance and was ok with diversity of cultures. This created unity rather than animosity among the ruled/governed. All to say, we shall see :)
