Deadlifted again this morning, I stopped at 3 sets bc my lower back was feeling sore, perhaps even lightly strained? I’m not worried atm because a) I did listen to my body and b) I’m still ramping up on weight slowly When deadlifting, how do you distinguish between an acceptable amount of soreness vs overworking?

Firstly you must have the lordotic curve in your lower back which is the normal anatomical position for the body… people tend to experience this after deadlifting… I assume you do that if you’ve been consistent with using the gym. And secondly deadlifting should be in a delorme regimen that’s progressively increase weights as you adapt
