The core team has been working on Farcaster for almost 4 years and have had a lot of product ideas at various points that we shelve because it's not aligned with our most pressing problem / top priority. Streaks was one that came up at least a half dozen times during "what should we build next?" brainstorms. Knowing when to work on something and the correct sequencing of features is the hard part. Still not great at it, but getting better.

How do you guys define if something isn't aligned with your pressing problems or top priorities? How do you envision all the potential cascading consequences an idea might generate?

1. Define the top problem / priority 2. Go through the potential root causes of the problem 3. Brainstorm ideas to potentially solve the root cause in an iterative yet scalable way

Love this, especially #2, so we don’t jump straight from problem to possible solutions
