you are completely missing the point, of course none of us are aiming to create something that evokes even a sliver of the emotions that Ghibli movies do

this is essentially fan art, accessible to everyone in seconds

ghiblifying everything is cool, but i think recreating others' work will get old pretty quickly

many people haven't felt the joy of creation, and this is just a stepping stone to that

from the user's side - i think the novelty will wear off quickly *because* of how easy it is to do

so any talk about "how upset the OG creator must be" is a waste of air time, bc the truly creative people will use this tool to create new things while everyone else will just go back to mindless consumption

i agree but it’s unfortunate in ghibli’s case specifically because their stories / content sucked and they are really only known for their style
