I sometimes want to feel the freshness and lightness of being 13 years old again

I miss it, not so much in the fact that life was better then – but more so that it felt like I was navigating a very small map of life, and everything else was *yet* to come, and that brought excitement

I still look forward to tomorrow, but it's considerably less exciting, but that's not the point

What I realize now – is that there's an observer within me, who I have identified and know of

and there's a gap between that observer and my presence
