I'm back from a trip in China and kind of mind blown by the innovation, pace and energy. The US might be waking up a bit late and spending too much time on things that are irrelevant in the long run and just distractions.

I’m in Guangzhou now, and I was impressed that I haven’t seen a single gas powered motorcycle/scooter. Only electric. It makes me embarrassed that the US is playing the victim so much when “you can just do (build) stuff”. Many startups in the US are doing manufacturing now, but much of that is for military. As a retail consumer looking to buy gadgets, not weapons, that’s not very inspiring.
