1) We already had privy integrated with our backend, so to ship quickly we used it instead of integrated wallet 2) Integrated wallet offers less connect options (50% of the market is Metamask) 3) We may want to use this frontend to develop other apps (maybe outside of fc), so it's faster for us to use privy
