If desires are copying other ppls desires then eventually at some point there has to have been a source of those desires. Some internal desire. Which means that internal desires can exist and so it’s always possible to have new ones.

Well thinking through what the potential sources of “original” desire could be, then yes. 

Unless the original desire was something we’ve evolved passed and so are now incapable of generating. Or circumstances existed then that no longer exist.
