Dan about to explain for the 400th time that there is no longer a 50 person auto follow list but a list of users created dynamically based on interests and the activity of users in channels based on those interests, and that those users are chosen because of activity and engagement as a revealed preference by the users of those channels with those interests.

While listening to users complain that this auto follow mechanic shouldn't exist because it somehow makes more sense that no one should get followers if it's not an "even" distribution (and their 3 anecdotal cases prove the entire mechanism is an abject failure) as opposed to just casting more and creating engaging content.

warpcast should have a "coming-of-age" ceremony, minutes after initial setup,  where the user has to act more self-determinate and actually parentcast + reply in each interest they supposedly have. just more additive quid pro quo experience until the user groks the general norms.

actually, that would be a pretty interesting longtail badge reward.

but most of these users act breadth-first, thus are treated as depth-weak, then deflect on their own conduct.
