As a Gen Xer, I learned to type on typewriters, in junior high school.  Everyone learned to make 2 spaces between sentence.

After looking back at some older writing, I shifted from double-space to single-space at some point in the last 10 years.

I changed to try to fit in with those whippersnapper millennials…it took me awhile to break the habit 🤪

I still double space and get so much shit for it.

They have a point.  But, when you have many clauses, I believe the double space gives extra hints to your eyes.  This is useful to me, so I keep on doing it.

I was taught 2 spaces but somewhere along the line — late high school or freshman year college — I had an instructor insist we not do it because they thought it was cheating, like it made your essays look longer or something 🤷‍♂️
