Upcoming channel changes

We're *previewing* some upcoming changes so people 1) can understand and 2) provide feedback.

These changes are not launching yet. It will be a couple weeks. There will also be a bunch of communication to channel owners.

spent some time thinking about this today, i really like the move. upstream of it all, it' is a forcing function for better quality posting. at the cost of increasing friction to post, it significantly increases the quality of the network for all. all subgroups of the network become invite-only, great!

better for less spam into rounds, however someone new to the space may not want to get involved / participate in as many rounds sense channels will have a gate to get in?

Yep. I’m more than OK with that. Plus, since there will be new and weird ways to join as a members (not just invites), it shouldn’t be all that hard to get in. Deserving pll are always easy to invite anyways.

True, closing the flood gates will get rid of that ai generated post from the same account 4 times a day lmao 🤣

Not as much of a problem in current rounds I just remeber seeing some other community ran rounds getting flooooodddedd with ai slop lmao
