Juicy tip (up to a reasonable limit) to whomever can fairly summarize $farther's launch, historic changes, recent tweaks, and today's capitulation. Not fishing or dishing. Just the facts please. (I don't follow further) Also GM and happy Monday 🍿🌞

It’s was supposed to be an influencer token only available to powerbadge holder for airdrop, to get more you were supposed to go on x and shill every 2 days. After drop it had some network effect here, many friends were using it. The downfall imo was the dev got weird about tipping rules, too many to list tbh. Also was really defensive when the community reached out. No flywheels or utility didn’t help as well Token price drives sentiment as well so as that faded, so did it

That early phase caught my attention, but it seems the token was pivoted prematurely to a farcaster-interior tipping thing but without a solid plan for dealing with "the quality problem" that vexes everyone. What were the recent, rapid changes to tipping function? 1000 $DEGEN

OK so first noticeable change was our score based off who we tipped. we had a tip minimum we had to use (200$) Tipping the same people brought your score down (We got over that) then you had to tip people who didn't have an allowance and who had more than 100 followers Then he banned tipping the same people in one cycle which could last longer than a day Then he implemented a rule where you can only tip 15% of your farther allowance to other holders on top of that rule then he wanted to implement vesting then in order to withdraw the AirDrop you received you had to hold 100k farther I've been preaching the downfall of farther for weeks

Thanks for the clarification, I got the drop but never did the tipping. In my Art DM group many did and the complaints were constant

Thanks for the extra detail, that's helpful. Cautionary tale to be sure and worth reviewing. Some good ideas there but they needed more time to cook and a more receptive culture. That's not easy. 1000 $DEGEN
