these are the only 2 things on fc that have generated new daus since frames1 & degen tipping back in feb

and despite what some of you think, this is the ONLY THING that matters; no one cares about the tech; the journos churn, the academics churn, ct churns, artists churn… none of it matters if no one is here 

now for the first time since feb, daus *appear* to have broken trend; time will tell if the fc team cares enough to capitalize

you would think with hostility increasing on x, a ban on launchpad tech & overall user dissatisfaction, acquiring these users would be top priority

instead we offer them $5 for a good cast plus a $3 sign-up fee…

they’re collecting $1600 a month on x

on fc, we have one of the most interesting things happening in crypto rn: a zk forum, built by top builders, with interest from vitalk & legitimate potential to influence on the world

but no one cares because no one is here 

i can pretty much tell you exactly what is going to be on my feed each & every morning…

as much as i love all 2,000 of you, is farcaster ever going to grow? 

i mean it’s been like 3 years & 2 cycles now… 

i think another 100k daus is a reasonable expectation over the next few months & we as users, should demand that

like we have the entire industry currently lurking our chain, yet all the CT folks that were here last week, have already churned (again)

i understand hype cycles are brutal, but where are our leaders?

why is higher not pounding their chests right now? where is degen? why are we not loud? 

fc is not even testing any marketing activations? like actually zero UA initiatives?

we literally have the industry at our backside right now & outside of anon & proxy, we are complacent 

we are cloning each others projects & dumping $3M coins on our friends instead of rallying together

5x the retroactive grants, get the builders aligned… active UA… move

we won’t have this momentum forever

actionable steps to improve fc right now (some open thoughts from last few days)

1. create a dev playground - attach git, index builders & verify projects. outline clear milestones & needs in open database. hire grant lead. align bounties & builders. seed quickly with 1-5k.

2. hire ecosystem lead - give 3m (2% of last 150m round) to slowly deploy into eco leaders (LP, seed, subs, promotion, etc.). who’s brining in users? capitalize projects that move value & improve retention/LTV.

3. align incentives - pay your content creators. users with 1k+ followers on x need to be compensated at least as much as x is paying them to shill fc… becomes 2x post for 2x comp = win-win.
