@anoncast is peak farcaster the second half of this year. a fun crypto-native meme turned into the first consumer app where zk *is* the product — tbh i never thought that would happen.

but let's be honest — what's happening on farcaster with memecoins right now is not good for the ecosystem. rather than bringing in new people under a few shared brands focused on building new things (what farcaster does best), newcomers right now only find themselves in The Churn. this is not who we are, nor is it the best way we builders can bring real value back to ourselves, much less bring value to others.

i'm not against memecoins in general, but there's a big difference between pump and dumps and long-term memecoins that bring communities together

on a positive note, i think it can be kind of like vc where most of what you see will fail but a couple of cool projects will leverage the momentum, use the capital productively, and build products that will evolve with and grow the protocol
