Sincere question: if you had to explain it to someone with absolutely no clue, why should they try warpcast over bluesky/mastodon/threads?

It’s much easier for third party apps to build interoperable features on Farcaster, and it will get even easier to build them as time goes on, so you’re much more likely to find your specific community or desired features. Farcaster is an open ecosystem, the others give you dictatorship, oligarchy, or feudalism.

Bluesky & Mastodon are not much better - although they use an open data standard, are open to various interfaces, and other providers can host data, in reality these features just create silos or are never used. This is like feudalism - you can move to a new overlord, but it's expensive and most abuse their power. ...
