A pamphlet somewhere in France, probably from the beginning of the 20th century, stimulating Japanese immigration to Brazil.
Nowadays the largest population of japanese, or descendants, outside of Japan live there. Brazil is also home to the largest population of people with Lebanese ancestry, more than Lebanon itself.
Add this to millions of Africans, Europeans, and of course the natives, and you will start to understand how diverse this country is.
I sometimes say that everyone has a Brazilian doppelganger, because the admixture is so high that it can produce anything.
And finally, contrary to the trend nowadays, most Brazilians are actually proud of this. No group of immigrants that arrived there made us less Brazilians, they made us more! 1 reply
