Do you mean seed phrase? The Ledger Nano can, though a root canal is a more enjoyable procedure

No, I mean a private key. I have Ethereum wallets that were created before BIP39 seed phrases were introduced, and I'd like to load them on a hardware wallet.

Now that’s a throwback from the MEW days. I’m not aware that this is at all possible on a HW wallet. MEW themselves seem to recommend to load your PK in MEW, and then transfer the funds to your preferred address generated by your HW
