Eigenlayer isn't live yet, but I don't assume that it would require higher uptime than a vanilla validator node. Remember, Eigenlayer is repurposing the decentralized security of Ethereum for other purposes, they benefit from our robust staking network, it makes sense to extend that.

Doesn’t Eigen layer change this and require way more uptime? It’s a reason I’d buy a LRT over creating an eigen pod.

I used to be worried about going offline but the penalties are really low for solo stakers. It's not something I worry about anymore.
