Legalcasters: the ANON stuff has me thinking: from a legal compliance standpoint, if a corporation decides to adopt a coin it didn't launch as its own but was airdropped, are there any securities laws concerns for that company? what about in the US? Can they then do classic mechanics like airdrops, staking pools, committed buys and burns, etc.? Or are they still subject to the same regulation. basically, could supercast officially adopt ANON or wow officially adopt WOW? Can they run with it as their own with way less regulatory scrutiny? or is it the same?

Under US law every person who received anon owes taxes on it. No question about that.

IANAL but it's probably for the best if the platforms open up permissionless mods, then go hands-off as the ANON community ships whatever's necessary.
