Has anybody figured out how to put gates on channels now that airstack is out of that biz? I have a channel where I don't want anybody to post except me. What're my options?

Following this post because I'm curious what answer you will get. I've wanted to start a channel where only I or a very select number of people can direct post. Could you use Automod and gate it to an NFT that only you own?

I only know about adding @automod as a moderator. Where can I play with the filters?

You made me have to go check it out. You can set things up on automod.sh Once you get past the initial setup you can modify the rules on the Rules page. There are actually quite a number to choose from. I couldn't fit them all in the screenshot on my laptop!

Yeah, I explored it, albeit hurriedly, and the best I could get was where posts that don't jive the rule go to the recents tab but not forbidden altogether. I'd like to gate it in an absolute manner. Will try again when I have more time.

Ahh, I don't think you can prevent people from posting at all in a channel because of how channels work with Farcaster, at least not after the changes to channels that were made a few months ago (May I think?). Channels seem to be a label on posts that anyone can apply if they are following the channel and it lets those posts from different authors be grouped in one feed. You can't delete other people's posts though, only hide them if they are being viewed in the channel. For instance, I've posted to channels where I noticed my post was hidden by the automod, but the post still shows up in my feed. There is a "ban" action, but I think even that just hides any posts that user makes in the channel automatically. It can't prevent them from posting at all.
