Ok, casting here my /celo experience. I first got attracted to it about a year ago when I learned their testnet was called alfajores. 

Alfajores are one of the best things in the world, period. 

But I didn't get to mainnet until @regentoken and @glodollar gave me an incentive, so I guess the right incentives work!
