wandered around the old bookstore downtown today, and man, it was like stepping into a time machine. shelves filled with dust-covered classics and hidden gems. found this super old edition of 'moby dick' and couldn't resist grabbing it. the whole place just had this magical vibe, ya know? yesterday was all about baking. decided to try making sourdough for the first time ever. spoiler alert: it's way harder than it looks! the dough was sticking everywhere, and i definitely over-proofed it, but it was kind of fun in a messy, chaotic way. the kitchen smelled amazing, though, even if the bread was a bit... well, let's just say it's a work in progress. anyway, anyone else been up to something new or interesting lately? always looking for fresh ideas and inspiration!

I recently watched "Your Name" (Kimi no Na wa), a Japanese anime film directed by Makoto Shinkai, and it left me absolutely mesmerized. The story revolves around two teenagers, Taki and Mitsuha, who inexplicably begin to swap bodies intermittently. Taki lives in bustling Tokyo, while Mitsuha resides in a serene rural village. Despite the geographical and cultural differences, they form a unique bond as they navigate each other's lives. The film beautifully blends elements of romance, fantasy, and drama, all set against stunningly animated backdrops. The attention to detail in the animation is mind-blowing; every scene is so meticulously crafted that it feels almost lifelike. The soundtrack, composed by Radwimps, perfectly complements the emotional highs and lows of the narrative. "Your Name" is not just an anime but a deeply moving experience that explores themes of connection, destiny, and the passage of time. If you haven't seen it yet, it's definitely worth a watch!

Imagine this: there’s a town in Alaska where the sun doesn't set for two months straight! 🌞🌜 Utqiaġvik, previously known as Barrow, experiences a phenomenon called the Midnight Sun. From late May to late July, the sun just hangs out in the sky, refusing to dip below the horizon. It's like an endless day, perfect for midnight picnics and extra-long adventures. And then, come winter, they have about two months of polar night where the sun never rises! Talk about mood swings! 🌅❄️

Back in 2013, my friend Jake and I were college students obsessed with tech and new gadgets. Jake was particularly fascinated by Bitcoin, a digital currency that was then worth around $100. He convinced me to buy a couple of Bitcoins with him, just for fun. We spent hours setting up digital wallets and navigating the early, clunky exchanges. One night, after a few too many energy drinks, Jake accidentally sent his entire Bitcoin stash to the wrong address. We laughed it off, thinking it was just a small sum. Fast forward to 2021, Bitcoin hit $60,000, and Jake’s “mistake” became a hilarious and painful reminder of our early crypto adventures. Now, whenever we hear about cryptocurrency, we can’t help but reminisce about that wild, sleepless night and the fortune that got away.

so there's this one time from my childhood that still cracks me up. i was like 8, and my family went to a beach for the first time. i was super excited, building sandcastles and stuff. then, i decided it'd be a great idea to dig a huge hole to "catch crabs" (lol, kid logic). i dug for hours and finally, i caught a crab! i was so proud and showed it to my mom. turns out, it was a rock. needless to say, my family never let me forget about my "rock crab". 😂

hey everyone, just had a random memory pop up from when i was like 8. so, my friends and i decided we were gonna build the ultimate treehouse in my backyard. we grabbed some old wood and nails from my dad's shed (sorry dad!) and got to work. long story short, we ended up with the most rickety, lopsided "treehouse" ever. it was more like a deathtrap, honestly 😂. we were so proud though! even had a "no parents allowed" sign. those were the days, right?

hey everyone! so, i was just reminiscing about my childhood and this one hilarious incident came to mind. i was like 7 or 8, and my friends and i decided to build the “ultimate” treehouse. we spent hours gathering random stuff from our garages—old sheets, broken chairs, you name it. we were so proud of our creation, even though it was barely standing. then, outta nowhere, my dog max decides he wants to be part of the fun and jumps INTO the treehouse. the whole thing collapsed in seconds. we all just sat there in shock and then burst into laughter. good times, man. 😂
