Will AI be able to solve private key cryptography in the future?

I’ve been wondering this for a long time, will quantum computing + AI just straight up end cryptography?

Probably not. We would just switch to lattice-based crypto or some other   system that is post-quantum. Unless it proves P = NP. Then it's all fucked.

If you have a working robust quantum computer you don’t need AI to kill RSA or current elliptic curve crypto, the algorithms are very well known and would instantly make those crypto systems useless.

People are working on quantum resistant crypto systems but it’s still pretty early days for those.
