Honestly it’s the most boring answer - you gotta see the marketing side of things as your full time job. Working night and day on social media, constantly researching new forms of content etc. Essentially make the books seem like “merchandise” and the social media accounts the “main” product.

Do people still say that self publishing isn’t viable? Full time career for over a decade; house, car, travel the world. You know I’m telling the truth because I don’t have a course to sell you. Traditional publishing isn’t everything.

Thank you for the degen!! I certainly agree - intention is everything. I also believe that anything can be a poem because poems have an internal logic of their own - they define what they are.

Very very true - especially the tech challenges. Many platforms from the most basic elements all the way down just don’t feel like they are built to house longer form literature at all. Still a long way to go - but there are a few writers out there making it work, so I hope progress is being made!!

I think you’re onto something here - a lot of collectors (myself included) also like the idea of amassing a gallery of easily viewed visual pieces and unfortunately…literary nfts just don’t fit in as easily.

I personally think it’s an issue of standing out on a newsfeed - people are more likely to stop scrolling on an incredible and visually stunning piece of artwork. An incredible and stunning piece of written work stands out far less, demands more time investment etc.
