so how does polymarket verify outcomes? ie so payouts dont go to the wrong people?

How does polymarket verify the winner of a given event? Is the outcome published by a single entity, committee, or oracle?

How about the DJT topic that they botched? I know that’s got some people upset.

It was a really tricky one. UMA resolves disputes by reaching a Schelling Point based on info in the public domain.

By the time the market closed, public info pointed to one resolution, but a lot of insiders claimed to have info going the other way.
