Today for WHISKEY WEDNESDAY we are featuring: Four Roses Single Barrel! Lawrenceburg, KY Four Roses uses different combinations of two mashbills and five yeasts to come up with the ten recipes that make up their yellow label bourbon. Four Roses Single Barrel is made from their OBSV recipe, which is their high rye mash (35%) combined with their V yeast strain, which lends notes of delicate orchard fruits and baking spices. It’s bottled at 100 proof and aged anywhere from 7-9 years before bottling.
