tbh I think people expect too much from channels. Yes it has 50k subscribers but that doesn't mean every single one reads the channel regularly or gets pushed every cast in it

Books isn't often a reply heavy channel despite the high subscriber count. I'm not familiar with either of those books so probably wouldn't have replied had I seen the cast anyway.

My take is it's not actually *that* big of a network of engaged, authentic, active users. I think the spam/bots really inflate the numbers, and channels sometimes fragment the audiences too much.
