seen in today's @coingecko newsletter: apparently polkadot (i guess it considers itself a DAO?) spends >$100m/year, largely on "outreach" (marketing), "development" (protocol level) and "economy" (LPing in ecosystemd defi) 👀

it's a bit sad as there are so many elements i like(d) about DOT, ahead of its time in many ways - parachain/interoperability, governance, and staking to name a few but just really hard to grow on tech and money alone, i guess
