It’s not great to have people pay 30$ in gas to create a username L2s are scaling ethereum by about 50x today (cofounder of offchain labs today during dunecon) Usernames are free in web2 and we should have the same with verifiabilty linking to addresses for free / near free fees (personal opinion)
