I loved when r/ethtrader experimented with a version of the Harberger Tax where users could buy the top banner in the subreddit Not a priority but tempted to experiment with this for the pinned bounty on Bountycaster :P How it worked if not aware:

Keeping it up for a month takes 26% of the proposed price. An advertiser could look at their monthly budget for an ad like this and 4x it to see the price needed to match with their budget, whilst keeping it high enough that it's 99% likely the ad will survive for the month. Reductively, it's reimplementing auctions.
