I would characterize EDX as later stage. They are doing interesting work on the institutional side of crypto trading https://edxmarkets.com/

Open data. Developers Playground, like twitter was back in the day. Crypto stuff is aawesome but normies don’t care.

I created a routine from YouTube. Once I found one that worked. I do it unplugged from screens out in nature. Restorative effectiveness is higher in that environment imo.

Hurricane center predicts higher than average hurricane season due to high ocean heat (climate change?) and La Niña https://www.noaa.gov/news-release/noaa-predicts-above-normal-2024-atlantic-hurricane-season If you live in at risk areas maybe take note.

That’s a great vision. Now you need a roadmap 🤔 Maybe start an OS client skeleton. You need to make it easy for devs before it becomes easy for everyone else. Faster to implement and discover what’s important that way

I would hope we could add enough value to the community that others passionately join and not begrudgingly :)

It depends on the size/maturity of the sub. The smaller ones have more low quality posts. But the automation, rules and active mods on the larger subs (eg. r/fitness) is way more process than twitter has. Plus they push conversations into lower visibility daily threads which works different on twitter.

Onboard your normie friends to Farcaster with this. https://froehlich.medium.com/farcaster-explained-simply-web3-social-12c55d3d4a68 It took me longer than expected to understand farcaster so I wrote the guide I wish I had. I hope it’s useful to others trying to understand this ecosystem. Feedback welcome.

It says it’s open source? Can you link the repo? Interested in contributing. I’ve been thinking about doing something similar. Super frustrating to find good channels

AFAIK casts and most of the data is stored in the hub https://docs.farcaster.xyz/learn/architecture/hubs Which seems to be a distributed data store. Note your account info is stored on chain via one of farcasters smart contracts. Looks like Idgateway based on the docs

I’m new too. Best way I’ve found is to do a search then look at the channels tab and subscribe to the ones you like. It’s a laborious process tho. If you find a better way let me know

All the marketing ive seen focuses on farcaster. I think until Warpcast hits escape velocity the conversations should focus on warpcast. Gmail marketing doesn’t discuss SMTP

I wish there was some channel discovery feature. I have been asking myself this question and searching for channels but still didn’t know about the majority of these. Thanks for the good suggestions

The Bloomberg article is behind a paywall. Any specifics on what the money will be used for?
