Trust on building on FC has gone to 0 for many of us who simply don't have the time and bandwith to keep updating our little tools.] Frames are dead, long live frames. I think I felt the same way until I adjusted my perspective: building on FC right now is early adoption. It’s just part of the course when the network still isn’t figured out yet. I definitely wouldn’t build a startup around FC right now, but for the occasional hack and social experiment, I’m here for it.

I honestly hate this take. Maybe it's fine and realistic for us to speak it out loud. FARCASTER THE SCIENCE EXPERIMENT WHICH IS ALSO A PLACE FOR SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS But for Merkle, how do you take the next step? Just keep grinding away at some experiments, continuing to pay lip service to previous soft+hard commitments b/c the revealed user pref is not to care? Feels like a local maxima: nobody holds anyone to account because no one cares, no end user sees a dead frame that a dev poured blood sweat tears into and even asks about it. Just move on, it's all bubble gum and shoestrings anyway. This is web3 after all, the place for crappy versions of existing stuff, but with vibes + lottery tickets attached ... MIGHT AS WELL BUILD ON CT+SOLANA THEN You get better everything, except for maybe some sunk costs of friendships and network effects? and dangling a hint of a prize of distribution and access
