I was using zsh for the longest time, however I recently started using fish. It’s has its quirks, but it’s way faster which makes it worth it for me. I don’t do a lot of shell scripting which probably helps.

I think more along the lines people might post a snippet from online thats pure bash or something like that. People have complained about that a lot but personally don't find myself doing anything like that.

I've been using Fish for years but always try to write shell scripts in portable Bourne shell.

The shell for interactive use does not have to be the same as the one used by shell scripts.

Or did you mean something else with "shell scripting"?
