Crypto use case:

I have a trip this weekend but am going to have to stay one less night than planned. The hotel I booked is 100% non refundable, so I’ll lose that money.

If the booking were onchain and transferable, I’m sure I could sell that one night for a few bucks to someone who needs it more than me. Instead I lose $150, a hotel room goes empty for a night, and the hotel would make the same amount either way.

These are the types of uses cases this industry was all about, but you don’t see them as much anymore. What happened?
