Just a heads up that $orbiter is not an official token by myself or @polluterofminds, and we don’t plan to launch one at this time. The only official channels are /orbiter and our account @orbiterhost. Stay safe!

It’s moments like these I wish Farcaster had dns verification like Bluesky does. I would love to link a verified domain with our account so it doesn’t matter what our handle is.

That does seem to be the case. I think a few years ago it was a much bigger deal, but the low cost and ease of launching tokens has definitely changed the meta

tbh fake tokens get launched all the time, unless the original team endorses it explicitly on their accounts no one really cares and it’s assumed to be fake

Farcaster should consider implementing DNS verification for added security and account linking
