Maybe the wrong place to ask but would be cool to have an Obsidian plugin for casting! I could see casts live in a designated folder as markdown files.

Aside from wanting to spend more time in Obsidian, this would be nice for mirroring casts to a statically generated site.

Oh nice!! Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Right now the CLI is only interactive but give me a day or so and I'll add some flags so you can pass the information in directly, e.g. 

mast new --text "New blog post" --embed "https:// site . com" --channel dev

Yeah I'm hoping to develop a flow where I incorporate a tool like Mast into the Quartz build process, such that when I create and publish a new article (with some subtitle/description frontmatter value), Mast can take that description and create a farcaster post with it, along with a link to the new article.
