The Lido protocol has stopped tracking staking for Polygon and notified users that it is going to temporarily resume work for seven days from January 15 to January 22, 2025. The process of withdrawing user assets from staking via the standard Lido on Polygon interface will be available until June 16, 2025. 
The project team admitted that Lido on Polygon could not achieve the desired level of popularity among users and faced insufficient profitability, significant maintenance costs and constant changes in the ecosystem. 
The key problem that negatively affected the success of the project was the changing situation in the DeFi market. The emergence of new Polygon solutions, especially those related to the launch of the zkEVM scaling solution, has reduced interest in alternative solutions for liquid staking on the Polygon PoS platform.
