when it comes to writing, i find there are two types of people: those who write as a necessary means of communication (and marketing), and those who genuinely enjoy the process. nothing wrong with either, but you can't force the former to become the latter.

This is correct. But you also can't emulate genuine interest and fervor. It's the old salesman vs artist debate
