I struggle with why spaces > podcasts. Live is so hard to do well, amateurs generally always struggle with it.

I have. Recently I tuned into one where Claire Silver, Lily and another AI artist were talking about their process, inspiration and how access to a creative tool will shape art. It was an excellent conversation.
