so glad the world is waking up to DEI practices. That shit had always been non-sense to me. The theory is “win the hearts and minds” the practice is “let’s not look bad”. I can tell you from personal (military & civilian work) experiences, that shit ends up bad and stinky.

Agree, it never sat great with me although the intentions seemed good. Now it feels like DEI is actually infringing on rights of others in name of the opposite. I believe it is impacting hiring practices and disenfranchising workers who are better qualified. I've heard stories from friends who weren't given interviews for over a year and then they changed their race in the applications and got a job within 2 months. When it was first introduced, I didn't get that sense but its becoming more clear as the 2nd and 3rd level impacts have been hitting.

Yup. I was called to speak at a previous org(s) as veteran and/or Hispanic immigrant and the entire application of discussions is non-existent. The ideals are extremely hard to implement. Because roles exist to justify the ideas, the accountability for everyone gets reduced to near zero. Diversity is a human emergent process best done through the nature, with controlled burns time to time. . Only exist when it’s let free not centralized. Eg. immigration.
