You have a custody address immediately but you’ll want to connect another wallet you control. And send it some ETH on Base to cover gas for free mints and such

It says that I minted, but I didn't know I had to connect another wallet since the app gave me a private key at registration. Does that mean it worked and the nft will be there when I connect a wallet?

You can find your custody wallet address from your profile by clicking the three dots in the top right and then clicking “about”. If the NFTs are in your hidden folder, you’ll need to grab your key and import into your fav wallet app
