It also won’t let you view profiles of users with small followings without signing in

its soooo weird to see tweets from like '22 in the timeline. What's the thought process there?

What grinds my gears are all the government services accounts that make important announcements on there that you now can't access without an account. Permissionless social media protocols FTW.
