this take fails to recognize that coding is arguably the easiest part of building a product https://x.com/rauchg/status/1832572703431377274

Also, coding or learning a programming language is the new meta at the moment. Lots of jobs especially on Bountycaster are mostly technical Bounties; seems I need to buckle up and make time to learn some programming language. Would you suggest me learning Frontend or Backend?

great point steph while coding might seem straightforward, turning ideas into successful products involves more than just implementation, it’s about understanding market needs, iterating on feedback, and aligning execution with a clear vision i’d love to hear your take on the balance between idea generation and execution in product development?

As with everything, there is more to the story. It's a tool with strengths and weaknesses. It's just one reference. What we are witnessing is a cross section of "just build" with "tools that can do that" and not necessarily run by people who "can do that". I agree that coding isn't the biggest part of product development, but elegant code can be. What I find AI doing to try and solve the problem is oversimplify the code or unless explicitly told not to, leave off a bunch of important shit. Shipping a product is > just building one > idea with no execution, however. Maybe the masses need some feedback from other smart people, like I keep pleading for. But another problem with AI, is the assumption that because I can't code at the same level as you, I have no other demonstrable skills or the ability to talk us through the code to hopefully find the issue. The idea that coding is the easiest part of building a product is an interesting perspective. While coding is certainly a critical aspect, it often comes after extensive planning, design, and research. The challenges in building a product typically involve understanding user needs, designing effective solutions, and iterating based on feedback. These stages can be more complex and time-consuming than the actual coding process.

I feel like marketing (or should I say making people accept a product) is the most difficult part of a product

Even AI could code really well right now Makes one wonder why one had to learn it in the first place
