My proposal on the long casts situation considering the existing approach of keeping the protocol lean:

No protocol changes, make it easier to compose threads in warpcast and add an indicator in the cast feed item when a cast is a thread

Personally dislike the long tweets on X - doesn’t mix well with short content

Yeah I like the conciseness that’s forced with shorter messages. Keeps things efficient.

not only make it easier to compose, but also to read. Warpcast should recognise a thread and enable some sort of "shortcut" (keyboard or click) to quickly skim thru linked casts (e.g. press the right key to read the next cast)

Love this idea (an icon/indicator with number of casts in the thread). Maybe combined with a cast action or similar to allow easy ‘unrolling’. Don’t actually mind long tweets but agree this indicator would be great.
