i actually created an account with a smart wallet a couple of days ago but having problems getting the fname server to validate the signature to get a username wdym paying with degen?

so the only part where you are stuck is on the username? practically, i'm in love with the possibility and cultural aspect of allowing people to create a farcaster account paying with $degen imagine this: you set up a bot. an anon bot. let's call it TIMMY on your frontend, you create a smart wallet for the user (without an fid yet) you present a textarea to the user, for her to write something about themselves. the user taps "send", and your backend: 1) casts that text through TIMMY 2) alongside an image that says: tip X $degen below TIMMY's cast and sponsor this new user's farcaster account if someone tips X $degen (the amount necessary to pay for a new FID, storage and signer for opencast), yo transform that $ into optimism eth and then sponsor that new user's account with that eth. sure, there is risk. in 10 days $degen could be less than now. but it could also be more. and you can take a small fee over that tip. 👀

i love this idea. was also thinking of ways to abstract away the initial storage payments from new users earlier today it's similar to the gassless free minting on zora where you can create an nft for free on zora, post it, and then the first minter covers the gas and gets a split of fees

yes! and imagine allowing people to pay for invites with $degen (instead of warps) on a more fun client -tips or cash- i would personally onboard more people for sure
