i don't think stripe is necessarily overdesigned, but i agree

also a big difference between a multi billion dollar company with pmf investing in a nice website vs a pre-pmf crypto infra company doing it

think its either a sign of excellence in all things (slight lack of focus), or a sign of focusing on the wrong thing (just the futuristic marketing)

Many blockchains to choose from, part of winning is branding. And the designer who did this is almost definitely an agency / non full time employee. Not anti-signal imo
