How are channels created outside of Warpcast integrated into Warpcast? For example, the /ethereum channel has a parent URL as https://ethereum.org but still has an icon on Warpcast

Short answer: they aren’t The URL is an artifact of the old channels architecture which was based on FIP-2 Channels visible in warpcast were always created in/by warpcast with some custom metadata. The early ones have parent URLs that point to a website, others point to an NFT (e.g. /degen), new ones these days they all point to warpcast channel pages themselves
