out of all social media platforms i've used, farcaster has had by far the highest conversion rate for making friends lesson in there and perhaps something warpcast should lean into vs whatever "interesting content" means

Definitely. I think it goes to show that DAU and all those other metrics optimized to pump ad networks are really not the way to go. Improve real quality of life for your users, and you'll outlast any of the engagement farm social networks that so many have decided to strap themselves into while it bleeds them dry.

completely agree. with respect to content interestingness i think of it as multiplier. content could be half as interesting as twitter, but if itโ€™s my friends posting about it then i care 2x more.

That's why Farcaster is the place for networking, not broadcasting. Here we make real friends ๐Ÿซ‚

How much of it having to do w/ early stage + smaller community & close knit culture? My experience: when platform grows to be big this often disappears. The problem is if platform can grow big enough yet still keep that/part of it

Agreed. The conversations also might be more entertaining than most of the content.

Fully agreed! I've never had this on other social platforms, fediverse (mastodon) was similar but nowhere nearly as sustained.

I agree! I've made a lot more friends in here (in 4months) than all the other platforms combined (10+years).
